Frequently Asked Questions
How are events counted?
An event is counted once when submitted to Surehook, regardless of how many times we retry delivery. Retries are free. If you submit 1 event and we retry delivery 5 times, that counts as 1 event.
What happens if I exceed the free tier?
Usage above 100k events per month is billed at $2 per 100k events. There are no volume tiers — everyone pays the same per-event price. Billing is calculated at the end of each month based on actual usage.
Can I change plans?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade at any time. When upgrading to Business or Enterprise mid-month, you are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the month. When downgrading, the new plan takes effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
Do you offer volume discounts?
No. Surehook uses flat per-event pricing. Everyone pays $2 per 100k events regardless of volume. This eliminates pricing anxiety as you scale and ensures predictable costs.
What is event retention?
Event retention determines how long webhook payloads and delivery logs are stored. Free tier includes 3-day retention. Business includes 90-day retention. Enterprise supports custom retention policies (up to 7 years for compliance).
Are there any hidden fees?
No. Pricing is base subscription (if applicable) plus metered events. No setup fees, no per-endpoint fees, no bandwidth charges, no surprise costs.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express). Enterprise plans can be invoiced annually with NET-30 payment terms.
What is your refund policy?
Business and Enterprise subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Event usage is billed monthly in arrears. Contact support for refund requests within 7 days of billing.
